HUMAN CORTEX

The Allen Institute for Brain Science Human Cortex Study presents gene expression patterns at cellular resolution across different cortical regions and human individuals, as measured using colorimetric in situ hybridization. This Web-based application allows viewing of indexed image sets searchable by gene, cortical region, donor and tissue characteristics.

DEVELOPING MOUSE BRAIN

Building on the foundation of the Allen Brain Atlas for the adult mouse, the Allen Brain Atlas – Developing Mouse Brain provides a framework to explore both spatial and temporal regulation of gene expression, effectively a 4D atlas covering brain development from embryonic through postnatal stages.
